Exploring the Underwater world:
We normally visit the reef at Salang Bay South because it is ideal for your first adventure. We swim above the sand, so that you cannot hurt yourself or damage the environment, but close enough to see all that the reef has to offer. There you will see an amazing variety of corals, large and small, hard and soft. The reef is inhabited by an equally amazing variety of fish, from the tiny iridescent blue of the Cleaner Wrasse to the magnificent Bump Head Parrot Fish, and if you are extremely lucky you might see one of the local turtles!!
Asah Waterfall or mostly known as Mukut waterfall is one of the many waterfalls found in Tioman Island. It is said to be one of the best waterfalls in the Tioman island and is something that every tourist should visit. The water is loud and soars out through the serene view of green nature, giving it the best atmosphere. You can also go to the top of the waterfall, but the walk is long and may be quite a challenge for some, but it surely gives you the blessing of change from all the beaches and sand.
Pulau Renggis is a small island that sits off the coast of Tekek Village, opposite Berjaya Tioman Resort. A popular snorkelling spot included in most round-island tour packages, Renggis offers great visibility in relatively shallow sea waters (20 meters), abundant coral reefs, colourful marine fish and the opportunity to swim with resident harmless black-tip baby sharks. Sometimes, visitors can also spot sea turtles resting along the sea bed.
Tulai Island is located off the northeastern coast of Tioman. It is also often referred to as Coral Island by tourist boat operators that offer daily excursion to this island. The journey will take about 30 minutes on speed boats from Salang village. There should be boat operators departing from Tekek or Air Batang as well, but the journey will take slightly longer time.
